3. Acceptable Use
You MAY:
- Use our calculators for personal, professional, or educational sheet metal work
- Share links to our tools and guides on professional forums, LinkedIn, or industry websites
- Reference our content in technical documents with proper attribution
- Use gauge charts and tables as reference material in your workshop or office
You MAY NOT:
- Reproduce or resell our calculator code without written permission
- Scrape data or use automated tools to extract content
- Frame or mirror our site on another domain
- Use our weight estimates in safety-critical structural engineering without independent professional verification
4. Accuracy of Calculations
Our calculators use standard density values and dimensional formulas. Results may vary from actual weights due to:
- Mill tolerances — actual sheet thickness varies within ASTM/ISO specified tolerance bands
- Density variation — actual alloy density may differ slightly from standard reference values
- Corner radii, weld seams, and surface coatings not accounted for in simplified formulas
- Data entry errors by the user
5. Intellectual Property
All calculator code, guide content, chart designs, and page layouts are protected by copyright. Standard gauge data and material densities from published standards (ASTM, ISO, IS, BS, DIN) are public domain. Our implementation, articles, and design are our original work and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
sheetgauge.com/ is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of or reliance on our calculators, charts, or guides — including procurement decisions, structural errors, or material cost overruns. Use entirely at your own risk.
