About Us
About sheetgauge.com/ — free sheet metal weight calculators and gauge converters for fabricators, engineers, and buyers worldwide. 60+ tools, all standards, no registration.
Why We Built This
Every day, fabricators and engineers waste time looking up gauge tables across scattered PDFs, converting between BWG and SWG in their heads, and manually calculating sheet weights. We built sheetgauge.com/ to put everything in one place — instantly.
sheetgauge.com/ was created by engineers and fabricators who were tired of the same daily problem: a simple question like "what is 16 gauge steel in mm?" or "how much does this sheet weigh?" required digging through multiple reference books, manufacturer PDFs, and inconsistent online tables.
We built a single platform with every gauge conversion, weight calculator, and material reference that a metal fabricator, structural engineer, or procurement buyer needs — all in one place, all free, all built from published standards.
Weight Calculators
Sheet, plate, pipe, I-beam, RHS, SHS, channel, angle, round bar, T-section — all shapes, all metals, instant results.
Gauge Converters
BWG, SWG, US Standard, B&S gauge to mm and inches — steel, aluminium, brass, copper, galvanized, stainless.
Standards Tables
ASTM, ISO, IS 808, BS EN thickness tables. Stainless 304/316, aluminium, galvanized gauge charts.
Fabrication Guides
Cutting techniques, tolerances, HVAC standards, automotive gauges, construction specs, ordering tips.

Our Commitment
Always Free
All 60+ calculators and charts are free and will remain free. We are supported by Google AdSense advertising.
Always Accurate
Every gauge value and density is sourced from published standards — ASTM, ISO, IS, BS, DIN. We update when standards change and fix reported errors within 24–72 hours.
Always Private
All calculations run in your browser. Material dimensions, quantities, and costs you enter are never sent to or stored on our servers.
